Luka Vuskovic

That actually makes sense ..

- We get Vuskovic to be really tested/developed in PL, he becomes association trained and if he turns out to be real deal, we get him back at 21/22.
- He gets to continue developing and since Brighton is paying both for the loan and have an interest in his long term sale, they will develop him
- JVH apparently has a sell on clause to someone else, so Brighton actually cutting the "sale price" helps them in an indirect way.

I'd actually be impressed if we pulled this off

I can see a loan, really, he, us and several big clubs in Europe would have fudged up if we let him go to Brighton

No doubt it be good for his development. Issue would be what happens if we are competing with Brighton for Champions Legaue football and Vuskovic excels for them as he has during every other loan. Last day of the season and he scores a header and Brighton beat us to 5th. Costs the club £75!

Might be best to see how he does in the World Cup before deciding how good he is, we know apart from Bayern the German League is not that strong , even N17th Spurs can beat German teams in the past couple of seasons.
I think he'll look good at the World Cup, but even international football is a completely different kettle of fish to the pace and power of the Premier League.

He needs a year or two of development in the Premier League before we really know how good this kid could be, if that's a loan at Brighton as part of the deal for JVH that makes much more sense....

Everyone seems to forget that he would get European football at Brighton, albeit the Europa Conference, but great experience nonetheless.

But this does sound like a load of hot, steaming bs from the clickbait merchants.

Conference league is League One standard for the most part.

Despite his loans I think its too big of a risk to throw him into our starting line up right now (Probably a risk RDZ doesnt want to make if he can get these PL proven defenders in now) Its still too early to tell if he will be the real deal. I saw someone mention De Ligt and how he was supposed to be the next great thing but also lacked a bit of pace and never really established himself in that top bracket. If he can have a PL loan and does as well as he has so far everywhere else then we can be sure or not what to do with long term.

Sure you would need that to apply to every single signing ever made from outside of the Prem as well then.

Half the player? Give it a rest. Our supporters have really overhyped this kid. If he is the next Maldini like everyone thinks, he would be going to somewhere better than Brighton.
Not NOW, but in a year or two, Vuskovic will be the much better player. The top clubs don't really buy CB's until they are established, except this guy, who is wanted by half of Europe.

Why is everyone talking about loaning him out?? We should PLAY him! We've come 17th two fudging years in a row! If we don't have time to develop a huge talent, who's played almost every game for a year at a similar level, we might as well just shut down the entire club. We won't be fighting for the title next season. Next season is building for the one after that, and that's why he should be playing for us, regularly.

He's 19, never played in the PL and has one concern that hasn't really been tested (pace)

We are buying Senesi & JVH who's main attributes are passing, it's about immediately sorting some of our passing/buildup issues.

If we kept Vuskovic in house, with VDV, Senesi, Danso and JVH, he won't get to start every game, regardless of how talented. A loan in UK makes sense (gets him association trained) and gives him another year of playing every game.

Redknapp tried to sell teenage Bale to Forest, before someone with a long term view stepped in, so its in the realms of possibilty

I'm not sure we have any grown-up making decisions at the moment
Actually it had nothing to do with someone having a long term view but rather everything to do with Ekottu, our first choice left back, getting injured.

You don't develop a talent especially one so young by throwing them in the deep end and hoping that they don't sink.

Is the Bundesliga a 'similar level'?

The fact that he's been so good in the Bundesliga at 19 shows he's immensely talented, but the PL is a whole different ball game. He looks the kind of player who steps up, and I think he probably will at PL level too, but a loan and some more experience seems more sensible to me.

There's also a reason RDZ played the senior guys in the run in to save us from relegation - that's not the kind of environment most young players thrive in. That also tells me Vuskovic won’t be getting much game time for us next season.
