    Champions League 25/26

He has been instrumental in them winning the league. Worth every penny. Probably worth 3 or 4 places in the league. I’d argue that he is underrated (by people like you).

Sorry mate but much as I hate to say it Rice is a superb player.

Indeed. He had the balls to step up and take a penalty. I respect him for that. The racist abuse (to him, Rashford and Sancho) was appalling. One thing that does irk me an littke about Saka, is how even after he got that great reception from our fans post his euros penalty miss, he still...

Probably because one of those managers got way more points per game, while qualifying for Europe twice and winning a trophy, while playing football that was for the most part exciting to watch. The other one got the worst ever points per premier league game for any manager here for 10 games or...

I don’t care what they said. What I said is that all I want is for us to have a coherent football strategy. Something we didn’t have under Levy for the last 8 years or so of his reign. We may or may not now see one but at least we now have a chance of doing so. If you think this season wasn’t...

All I want is for us to have a coherent football strategy. Something we didn’t have under Levy for the last 8 years or so of his reign. It meant we wasted money on players and wasted money on hiring and firing managers. Only time will tell whether the new exec team will do better than the old...

And yet I’ve seen a few posts saying that they need to see the new exec team spending more than we did previously.

i think George Graham’s Arsenal side were amongst the top scorers in the league

    Next seasons squad

7 transfers but 2 of them are zero transfer fee. Of the others, the keeper could well be very low cost. That leaves 4 players, many of which I’m suggesting aren’t particularly expensive. I also think we’ll pull in £130m or so in sales.

Brentford were always amongst the worst few teams to watch in the league IMO.

One that can only pass backwards but is likely to win a few free kicks in the hope that we can get a goal from the resulting ball pumped into the box?

I'm not yet sure about him. Sometimes he looks like Wharton in terms of his passing ability but other times he appears anonymous.

There is no difference if a 32 year old player on a large wage is injured or a 25 year old player on a large wage is injured.

I honestly couldn't give a fudge if we spend £200m or £2m net. All I care about is us improving our squad. My guess is that we'll spend about £80m net this summer but increase the wage bill quite significantly. The key for us it not to spend more it is to spend better

The last guy was at fault. We spent money terribly over most of the last 8 to 10 years or so or so of his reign. If you think the amount of money we have spent is the problem we've had at Spurs then I don't think you've honed in on the real problem.

Indeed. And we can also say it about players that all of us have bigged up over the years that have ended up being brick (I've had enough shockers there with young players I wanted who ended up doing fudge all). I still tend to trust those who work in football and who's jobs depend on the...

Seems like really sensible planning to me. Sell a player who is around his peak but had a poor season clearly wants out and selling him while he still has significant transfer value. But replacing him with a player who is also at his peak, who is proven in the PL, come of the back of a great...
