Will Lankshear

Yes
100%
He has all the right things that take years to coach but are natural for some players
He shoot’s on sight with a very good strike of the ball
He doesn’t faff around getting involved where he doenst need too
And his hold up play last season improved massively

He is a natural goal scorer and looks a confident lad. It's up to him to show De Zerbi he dezerbries a chance. He needs to play and I'd rather see him as our sub striker than Richarlson. I think there will be clubs prepared to take him on loan based on his performances in a struggling Oxford side.

I’d like to see him being loaned again. Playing first team football is what he needs right now. He improved a lot last season but still has a lot of improving to do to become a PL level striker. A good championship loan would be the right thing for him and us I think.

Southampton would be a good club to loan him to.

What I like about him is he is always available on the pitch when I’ve seen him
No hiding in plain site
He loves the battle too

so... is lankshear good enough if solanke is fit? (i.e. sell richy)

Needs a big of smart squad management, but in principle we should make that space.

Specifically - if we bring in a Prem-proven wing-forward who can deputize up front, then you could sell Richy and give Lankshear a shot in reasonable confidence as Solanke's backup. If it works, great - if it doesn't, the new wing-forward and/or Tel can deputize in a pinch.

Problem is finding that sort of hybrid wing forward in the Prem. Only really Marmoush fits that description right now, I think.

Though, that being said, people underestimate Richy's contribution. Replacing him with Lankshear essentially means you are expecting him to at least replicate Richy's output - that's 10+ Prem goals most seasons. How many young strikers can do that consistently?
