His positional sense might be suspect buts he's a hell of a 1v1 defender significantly better and stopping his winger getting past than the other RB we have.

Where was this post when the team was announced for the game against the strongest opponent Croatia? Obviously he was going to be rotated in.

He's a decent player, but if you want evidence about manager selections four different managers have preferred Porro and Udogie over him. It's great to have him as a utility player and backup but no manager has wanted him first choice - I would guess there are concerns about his concentration levels to maintain playing first choice week in week out but that's just speculation on my part....
