Lyon have money problems so could get him for potentially a bargain. But again, this is a guy in the potential bracket so wouldn't be an established player a lot of fans clamour for so many will doubtlessly complain. I'd be very happy with him from the little I've seen though....

I think we hugely miss that electric pace in the front line. All our forwards are either outright slow or very average paced.

Easier said than done. We do need to rid the bloated deadwood. At the very least it takes wages off the books

yeah that's why loaning odobert out to another's medical team to rehab would be great ! also we can reduce the stress on our medical and rehab team for some proper rebuilding.

No one is buying (loaning) a player actively rehabbing an ACL injury, we'd have to give him away for free or more like pay them for the pleasure.

If that’s the case, you’d imagine that money would go a long way towards funding a move for Tonali, while the fees from Dragusin, Vicario and, I assume, Sarr would help cover the Brighton lad and a new goalkeeper.

My question is whether that really shows ambition from the owners, or if it’s simply a case of reinvesting money raised through player sales. When reports mention £200m-£300m being available to spend, is that on top of any money generated from sales, or does that figure include it?

the truth is nobody knows and the devil is in the details.
reported wages itself is interesting because it means EVERYONE employed by the THFC, who probably have the biggest staff payroll list because of extra non-football stadium and event operations.

If United are interested 80m might be possible i guess but otherwise I think it'd be around the 50m mark

With Romero the question is of demand. Is he in high demand by clubs who can pay a good fee. There hasn't been much chat or speculation in that regard but it be because a deal is essentially already done or maybe there isn't anyone for whom he is a priority right now. I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens.

It's like @billyiddo says really. Big clubs here have seen he is a liability for various reasons and won't be paying that sort of fee - but of course Man U are known to pay stupid fees so perhaps they could help.

You’re forgetting the LW and CF positions.

Besides, who really cares if we spend all of our transfer budget or not? As long as get the players RDZ has identified, then the less we spend the more we have available for another window.

I wouldn’t want most of the posters on here being anywhere near control of the club’s finances.
