Will Lankshear

Pay the wages and I'm sure he would. He dropped down to play in Turkey after all

Oshimen makes £320k per week in Turkey. But he pays a flat 20% income tax rate there. So his take home per week is £256k or £13.3M per year.

In the UK his tax rate would be above 50%. So we would need to pay him just under £500k per week to match it.

The problem is that he takes home around around £260K net which is around £500K before tax. That would literally make him the highest paid player in the league. Pay the wages you say.....

Only way around it would be to provide a significant signing on fee for him. And then pay wages that way.

Did anyone see Sterlings payslip at City that was floating around on the internet a few years ago? He was taking home stupid amounts due to bonuses and all the other crap that goes with it. We can do the same with anyone if we wanted to.

I thought ENIC were supposed to be playing big gonads now. What bigger statement could there be than signing arguably the best finisher in business on the biggest wages in the league?

I guess the fundamental question is whether the powers that be actually want him, and whether he wants to come.

As much as I'd love to see Osimhen at Spurs, from what I know of my compatriot, I think it's unlikely. Then again, it wouldn't be the first time I've been completely wrong.

Do people think Lankshear can make an impact next season here under De Zerbi?
Yes
100%
He has all the right things that take years to coach but are natural for some players
He shoot’s on sight with a very good strike of the ball
He doesn’t faff around getting involved where he doenst need too
And his hold up play last season improved massively

I’d like to see him being loaned again. Playing first team football is what he needs right now. He improved a lot last season but still has a lot of improving to do to become a PL level striker. A good championship loan would be the right thing for him and us I think.

He has a few years left on his contract and I read we turned down a £15 million January bid from Middlesbrough. I make you right about that level of loan, or to a team promoted to the Prem. That’ll determine whether he has a future with us

We already do. Pretty much all players contracts have a sizeable signing on fee (also called a loyalty bonus) that is spread over the length of the contract. When a story comes out that a player is on e.g. £200k a week, that is typically their combined wage and loyalty bonus figure.
