My guess would be that if we sell rather than loan it's because we want/need the cash to rebuild the squad now.
If he wants to go then we will have to let him go surely? ifs its £60m we would be stupid not to right? we will 100% have a buy back clause in it and i would imagine also a sell on fee aswell.
Thats a scary thought and under pins my concerns
The thing about a buy back clause is that a player can agree to sign for you even if the two clubs agree. At thr very least we should have a 50 percent sell on clause. Alternatively, we just say no.Get £60m put a buy back clause in so we get first refusal for x amount everyone wins.
He is clearly not as rated with our coaching staff as he is with our fan base. If he is as good as GB and the like think, why hasn’t Bayern come in for him?
My guess would be that if we sell rather than loan it's because we want/need the cash to rebuild the squad now. If we didn't then I'm sure a loan would be the path we would be taking. Can't blame RDZ, he won't be around to benefit from the player if he doesn't succeed in the short term so that needs to be his focus re the transfer market.
Him becoming a generational talent won't make or break us as a team and we've seen plenty of hyped youngsters not make the grade so i can see why the manager would make the choice of selling now, if that's the case.
It seems to me that the boy is unhappy because we have not guaranteed him a starting role next season.Asked about his future, Vuskovic admitted that while his focus was on helping Croatia at the World Cup, he wanted to play for a club that wanted him.
"For now I’m focused only on the World Cup,” Vuskovic said.
“My goal next season is to play for a club that wants me and where I will play. We’ll see what happens in the coming days and weeks."

The only way his quotes make the remotest sense is that if we as a club have communicated that we actually don’t want him. Otherwise he is being a complete diva.
There’s a world of difference between ‘we want you to take another loan in the PL, and come back ready for us like Saliba’ and ‘we don’t want you.’
I’m still not any clearer on why a permanent move gets him any closer to Munich or Madrid than a loan and performing well for us in the subsequent years.
Noises from both him and his agent have been going on for some time before we signed these two CBs. Last season there were direct quotes from Vuskovic saying he wants to stay at Hamburg another season to play with his brother - its been a constant topic of conversation sound bites from him and his camp about not being here, it hasn't just come out of nowhere from the last week or two....Maybe his issue is that we haven’t had those discussions and he’s seen us sign two experience PL center backs and (quite rightly) questions whether staying at Spurs is the best thing for his career.

That's exactly what I feel too. In fact since he went to Hamburg I've seen nothing that suggests that he (and by 'he' I mean him and his 'team') has any interest in Spurs. Now he expects us to guarantee him a starting place to allow him to build his profile and secure a move to one of the 'top' clubs that are allegedly super keen on him. I don't know exactly why another loan is so unacceptable to him but he seems determined to get a permanent move and has been gradually ramping up the pressure on the club. Liking the Romano's instagram message and the quotes in the Evening Standard about playing for a club "that wants me" seem like the next step. There's also a story that he is prepared to submit a formal transfer request although I see that as a tactic rather than reality. I don't believe for a second that Spurs has said that they don't want him but I hope they have made it clear that they are not simply going to bend over to give Vuskovic what he wants when he wants it. This is a 19 year old who has never played a first team game, not played in the PL or in a back four and has done pretty well for one season on loan, still has four years soon his contract but seems to want to dictate when and where he will play. For me, however good he might be in the future, he's already close to being too much trouble and a decent profit and a reasonable sell on clause wouldn't bother me too much.Noises from both him and his agent have been going on for some time before we signed these two CBs. He was Paratici's find though. Maybe Lange is just being vindictive after that fall out?I mean, we want this guy so little that we spent proper money to sign him permanently as a 16 year old.
It smells like balancing zero net spend againMy guess would be that if we sell rather than loan it's because we want/need the cash to rebuild the squad now. They are different but signal the same message: I don’t want to be at SpursStaying out on loan and getting a permanent move to another PL club are a bit different.
Let’s wait till the dust settles to see where things stand rather than making up scenarios to justify an opinion, eh?It smells like balancing zero net spend again
