3 of my great uncles were Catholic priests. I went to a Catholic high school and was married in a Catholic Church (by one of my uncles)
And now you are non practicing.

Its not really, there are always reports coming out globally. Most recently about a cover up in Texas which popped up in the press this week here.
Also a quick search shows on here you have been open about being a Catholic and from what I can see you have never had to defend an allegation or association. Compare that to Luton and I think that tells the real truth about the subject on this forum at least
And now you are non practicing.
Why the fudge would that make any difference?
Unfortunatley there will always be new incidents that happen. But the scale and grand cover up that took place is old news now.
Because if you had posted about what happened in Texas I would not be on the defensive. Calling you Xenephobic and posting articles about Rabbis that sexually abuse children. I would completely acknowledge the failing of my own culture that led to those crimes happening, even if I hold zero personal responsibility for what happened and have a greater responsibility to do that than non catholics.
“I’m not Catholic anymore” is a get out of jail free card anytime it comes up.
I don’t go to church but I’m still catholic. You’re just looking for a clever way to disguise your bigotry, as you always do. We all see through it mate.
Ok, I seem to remember you getting defensive last time it was mentioned and fired back about geography and 9 year olds. Anyway look forward to more balance moving forward then
Oh I can agree with all of that. I just don’t see why it’s racist to say this community are involved in grooming gangs up and down the country. And ANY smart person knows that it’s an issue with the minority of the Pakistani community, but the crimes of grooming rape gangs with the reports showing the majority without doubt were Pakistani. To me, the biggest difference is the implied guilt by association. I’m Catholic (not that I care/believe, but that’s how I was raised) but no one gives me any grief because my church has a major sexual abuse & cover up issue. But when it’s a Muslim who committed a crime, all Muslims are considered culpable (hence the “why don’t you apologise for your kind” nonsense) and it extends into attacks on all immigrants / all non-white people.
Ok mate.
The Islamic prophet being married to a 9 year old absolutley impacts the views that men in Islamic countries and raised within the Islamic faith have of when a girl is of age.

No. I say it's racist to say raping kids is mostly Pakistani men. Raping kids is mostly white men. Groomings gangs in the north was mostly Pakistani men.
The majority of child rapists are white men in this country. But I don't think they are more likely to be nonces. Do you?
You should based on your view on Pakistanis.

I agree just labelling something what it actually is isn’t racist in itself, but the main point is that the people who post about those gangs are quite possibly posting about it because of their race/religion and nothing else.
And for the act of balance you have just spoken about you having, why do you think the Catholic church has been such a breeding ground for so many nonces despite that not being in their scripture? There must be something within the organisation and structure that makes it happen or is it just a game of chance that so many rocked up to one religion??
That’s a big conversation that I have no issue discussing in deeper detail when I have more time.
But the short answer. As an institution it’s deeply rooted in secrecy, hierarchy and powerful male leadership. That’s not unique to the Catholic Church, but it’s on steroids.

Cool, genuinely look forward to your view given you have skin in the game, personally from an outsider the forced celibacy carried dangers. Anyway when you have more time.....
Do Pakistani men over index in this crime on a per capita basis?
